Your player uses two LED lights to keep you informed. The left LED shows your internet connection status, and the right LED indicates if music is playing. Follow the guide below to find out what each color means.
Normal operation
Trying to connect
When you power on your player and it's attempting to connect to the internet, the left LED light will be orange.
Connected
Once the player is successfully connected, the left LED light will turn green.
Music is playing
When music is playing, the right LED will show a solid green light. Good to know: music will continue to play offline for up to 30 days even if your internet connection is lost.
No sound
If the right LED is slowly flashing green, it indicates that music is paused, no music is assigned, or the volume is set to zero.
Problem indicators
Zone not ready
The right LED will flash orange if the player isn't paired to a zone or if the zone doesn't have an active subscription. Refer to our guidance for help.
Connection failed
If the left LED light is flashing orange, it means your player couldn't connect to the internet via the Ethernet cable.
Common causes for a failed connection:
- The Ethernet cable isn't plugged in. Please double-check both ends of the cable.
- The player can't connect to the Internet. Verify your router's status and ensure the player has an IP address through your routers admin interface.
- Static IP address configuration issues. If you're using a static IP, confirm you've followed the these setup instructions successfully.
- The player can't reach the local gateway. Check your network (router or switch) to ensure the player is properly connected.
- A firewall prevents the player to connect and authenticate to Soundtrack services. Please read about our required firewall settings.
No power
If there are no lights, ensure the power cable is plugged in.
Recovery
During recovery, the left LED will be solid orange and the right LED will be solid red. Do not unplug any cables; simply wait for the player to reconnect.
Hardware failure
If both LED lights are flashing red, your player might be broken. Contact support for assistance.
