We offer two levels of Music Control – Essential and Unlimited – so you have the right tools for each part of your business. We're currently rolling out a more flexible way to manage your music, so your account will look like one of the two options below.
Which version do I have?
- Zone-based control: you can select a plan for each individual zone (e.g. Bar, Lobby, Terrace). This is our new flexible setup, rolling out since 27 April 2026.
- Account-wide control: your selection applies to all zones at once.
All accounts will be moved to the flexible zone-based setup later this year.
Upgrade to Unlimited
Unlimited Music Control is our most complete option – for zones where you want to play songs in an exact order, queue tracks on the fly, or build your own playlists.
- Log in to your account.
- Click your company name in the top-right corner.
- Click ‘Company settings’, then ‘Subscription’.
- Click ‘Upgrade to Unlimited’.
You get Unlimited Music Control right away. Your next invoice will include a prorated charge for the price difference over the rest of your current billing period.
Downgrade to Essential
Essential Music Control is a great fit for zones where you want a high-quality atmosphere with minimal management. It uses Smart Shuffle to keep playback varied.
- Log in to your account.
- Click your company name in the top-right corner.
- Click ‘Company settings’, then ‘Subscription’.
- Click ‘+ Change to Essential’.
- Scroll down and click ‘Schedule change’.
The change takes effect on your next billing date. You keep Unlimited access until the end of your current paid period.

What is Smart Shuffle?
Smart Shuffle keeps your music fresh and licensed by occasionally mixing in similar tracks that match your chosen style. With large playlists (over 70 tracks), you might not even notice it.
I'm on a Starter plan – can I switch?
You can keep using Starter exactly as you do today. We'll help all Starter users move to the flexible zone-based setup later in 2026. Curious now? Reach out to Support.
Can I mix Essential and Unlimited?
Yes, if your account is on the new zone-based setup. Use Unlimited where you need total control and Essential in the background areas.
