Follow this guide to set up single sign-on for Soundtrack with Microsoft Entra.
SAML must be enabled on your Soundtrack account first. Contact our sales team for a quote.
1. In Soundtrack: get your ACS URL
- Go to the SAML page.
- Enter an Organization slug. This is a short, URL-safe name for your organization – think of it as a username. Users type it when signing in, so keep it memorable.
- Copy the SAML ACS URL.
2. In Microsoft Entra: create the application
- Under ‘Enterprise applications’, click ‘New application’.
- Click ‘Create your own application’.
- Enter a name for the application, select ‘Integrate any other application you don't find in the gallery (Non-gallery)’ and click ‘Create’.
- In the ‘Set up single sign on’ box, click ‘Get started’.
- Select ‘SAML’ as the single sign-on method.
- Under ‘Basic SAML Configuration’, click ‘Edit’.
- Paste the SAML ACS URL into both ‘Identifier (Entity ID)’ and ‘Reply URL (Assertion Consumer Service URL)’, then click ‘Save’.
- Assign users to the application. If you're not ready to assign everyone yet, add yourself so you can test.
- Scroll down to ‘SAML Certificates’ and click ‘Download’ next to ‘Federation Metadata XML’.
- Open the downloaded file in a text editor and copy all of its content.
3. In Soundtrack: add the metadata
- Return to the SAML page, paste the copied XML into the ‘SAML XML’ field and click ‘Save’.
- Click your name in the top-right corner, then ‘User settings’.
- Click ‘Connect’ next to ‘SAML SSO’.
Step 3 is only needed if the email address you're logged in with is also the one you'll use for SAML sign-in.
4. In Microsoft Entra: test the sign-in
- Back in Entra, scroll down to ‘Test single sign on with Soundtrack’ and click ‘Test’.
- Click ‘Test sign in’.
- Select your account.
- You're now signed in to Soundtrack with Microsoft Entra.
If you see a 500 error, reload the page – it's usually temporary.
