Follow this guide to set up single sign-on for Soundtrack with Okta.
SAML must be enabled on your Soundtrack account first. Contact our sales team for a quote.
1. In Soundtrack: get your ACS URL
- Go to the SAML page.
- Enter an Organization slug. This is a short, URL-safe name for your organization – think of it as a username. Users type it when signing in, so keep it memorable.
- Copy the SAML ACS URL.
2. In Okta: create the app integration
- Go to ‘Applications’ and click ‘Create App Integration’.
- Select ‘SAML 2.0’ and click ‘Next’.
- Enter an App name, add a logo if you like, and click ‘Next’.
- Paste the SAML ACS URL into both ‘Single sign-on URL’ and ‘Audience URI’, then click ‘Next’.
- On the next page, click ‘Finish’.
- Click ‘View SAML setup instructions’ in the right sidebar.
- Scroll down to the ‘IDP metadata’ field and copy all of its content.
3. In Soundtrack: add the metadata
- Return to the SAML page, paste the copied IDP metadata into the ‘SAML XML’ field and click ‘Save’.
- Click your name in the top-right corner, then ‘User settings’.
- Click ‘Connect’ next to ‘SAML SSO’.
Step 3 is only needed for users created before SAML was set up.
4. In Okta: assign users and test
- Back in Okta, assign users to the new app integration. If you're not ready to assign everyone yet, add yourself so you can test.
- Sign in. You may be asked to verify with the Okta Verify app.
- You're now signed in to Soundtrack with Okta.
If you see a 500 error, reload the page – it's usually temporary.
