If a song doesn't fit your brand or you simply don't like it, you can block the song to prevent it from playing in your zone again. This article covers how to block and unblock songs:
Please keep in mind that songs can only be blocked per-zone basis. There is currently no way of blocking a song in all of the locations of your account.
In the app
Block a song that's currently playing
- In the play view, go to the three-dot menu in the top right corner.
- Click ‘Block song’.
Block a song that played previously
- Click ‘Home’.
- Click the settings symbol in the top right corner.
- Go to ‘Recently played songs’.
- Find the song you want to block, click the three-dot menu next to it, and then ‘Block song’.
Note: unblock a song by following the same steps, but by clicking ‘Unblock song’.
Find a list of blocked songs
- Click ‘Home’.
- Click on the settings symbol in the top right corner.
- Click ‘Blocked songs’.
- If you want to unblock a song from here, click on the three-dot menu next to the track and press the toggle button.
From a browser
Block a song that's currently playing
- Log in to your account.
- Click ‘Locations’.
- Go to the zone.

In the play view, click ‘Block song’.
Block a song that was played previously
- Log in to your account.
- Click ‘Locations’.
- Go to the zone.
- Under Recently played songs, click ‘view list’.
- Flip through the time and dates until you find the song.
- Click on the three-dot menu and then ‘Block song’.
If you want to unblock a song from here, click on the three-dotmenu next to the track and press the toggle button.
Find a list of blocked songs
- Log in to your account.
- Click the zone where you want to see all the blocked tracks.
- Under Blocked songs, click ‘view list’.
- To unblock a song from here, click on the three-dot menu next to the track and then ‘Unblock song’.
In Sonos
Block a song that's currently playing
You can’t block songs from the Sonos app, but can follow the process for a song that played previously.
