You can create a playlist directly in Soundtrack or import your favorites from Spotify.
- Click ‘Create’.
- Click ‘Playlist’ or ‘Spotify import’. If you’re importing, the playlist must be public on Spotify and have at least 5 songs.
- Name the playlist and start adding songs. Search for artists, albums and songs, or import from a Spotify playlist.
Create a playlist from any song
Hear something you like? Use the song that's playing to create a new playlist or add it to a playlist in your library. Here's how:
Web and desktop
- Press the ‘+’ button next to the song.
- Select a playlist or create a new one.
- Done! If you change your mind, you can easily remove it again by clicking ‘Undo’.
Mobile app
- Press the three dots next to the song and choose ‘+ Add to playlist’.
- Select a playlist or create a new one.
- Done!
How your playlist plays
Playback depends on the zone’s Music Control level:
- Unlimited Music Control: play songs in a set order, skip as much as you like and play any song on demand.
- Essential Music Control: playlists always play in shuffle mode, and we may occasionally mix in similar songs to follow music playback rules.
Hide unavailable songs in the Soundtrack app
- Click an unavailable (grayed-out) song in a playlist.

Turn off ‘Show unavailable songs’.
To show them again:
- Go to ‘Home’.
- Click ‘Settings’ (the cog icon in the top-right corner).
- Click ‘About’.

Under ‘Unavailable songs’, select ‘Show in playlists’.
