Get started with the Desktop player, our improved player for Windows and macOS. In this guide, we'll walk you through the simple steps to download the player and start playing music.
Instructions
- Don't have an account yet? Sign up here.
- Go to Zones in the top menu.
- Click on the zone where you would like to play music.
- Download the Desktop player for Windows or macOS here.
(Already paired? Click "Switch device" and choose the new player from the Download apps page) - Install the program on your computer. The Player should start automatically after installation; if it does not, start the program manually by double-clicking the Soundtrack icon on your desktop.

Log in with the email address associated with your Soundtrack account, or Pair your player using a pairing code.
- Connect the audio cable from the computer to your speakers, and check you have internet access.
- Enjoy the music!
How to verify your paired Zone
To check you're playing music in the correct location, you can verify your paired Zone within the app:
- Mini-player: Check what zone and device are paired in the mini-player at the bottom of the screen.

Full-screen: Enter full-screen mode to see the paired zone name listed at the top.
